History
Lafayette Group, since 1986
When François Gailliard started Lafayette Travel in 1986 with a few shareholders, he didn’t know that his company would expand over time from a single office in Paris to a group with over 40 permanent staff and branch offices in Monaco, Cannes and Bordeaux.
This geographical expansion became a high priority to counter the worldwide diplomatic and economic turmoil starting in 2001 and exacerbated by the 2008 financial crisis in the US. This expansion tactic has proven to be more than sound and wise.
With over 30 years in hospitality and business tourism management, the Lafayette GROUP team has thrived in MICE – and exceed! The requests of the most demanding clients from nearly every walk of industry, cementing their loyalty to Lafayette Group through repeat business and referrals.
